New programme · Cohort 14 Jan – 2 Apr 2027

The first capstones arrive in April 2027.

In short · Why is there no AI programme work here yet?

This is a new programme. Cohort 1 starts building on 4 Jan 2027 and defends its capstones live before a panel by 2 Apr 2027. Their cleared case studies appear here after that. Until then, this page shows exactly what each portfolio will contain, and the design work our alumni have done since 2015.

When the work appears

12 seats · 12 capstones

Your capstone could be here.

Every Cohort 1 learner builds, tests and defends one AI product or proof of concept. Twelve seats means twelve frames on this page.

What a public case study looks like

One product, eight gates.

Customer support · Route A, Builder

An AI assistant that helps support teams answer policy questions

What was built
A retrieval-based assistant over a policy library, with a hand-off to a human when confidence is low.
How it was tested
An evaluation set of real questions, accuracy and hand-off rates, and a red-team pass for unsafe answers.
Learner's role
Product design, retrieval set-up and evaluation; worked in a pod of four.
  1. Gate 01

    Problem and evidence

  2. Gate 02

    AI suitability and concept

  3. Gate 03

    Process, UX and architecture

  4. Gate 04

    Prototype or proof of concept

  5. Gate 05

    Evaluation and user evidence

  6. Gate 06

Red team, security and responsible AI

  7. Gate 07

Capstone walkthrough · illustrative

Gate by gate, what gets built.

An illustrative example, not a real learner's work, showing what each gate produces. Your capstone follows the same path on your own problem.

  1. Gate 01

    Problem and evidence

Interviews with 6 support agents; 40% of tickets are policy questions answered inconsistently.

    ArtefactProblem and evidence brief

  2. Gate 02

    AI suitability and concept

Retrieval assistant suits it: answers exist in documents; risky answers can go to a person.

  3. Gate 03

    Process, UX and architecture

Agent drafts the answer with sources; agent approves; low confidence hands off.

  4. Gate 04

    Prototype or proof of concept

n8n workflow plus retrieval over 120 policy pages, inside a simple chat screen.

  5. Gate 05

    Evaluation and user evidence

80-question test set from real tickets: accuracy, citation quality, hand-off rate.

    ArtefactEvaluation set and results

  6. Gate 06

    Red team, security, responsible AI

Tried prompt injection, personal data leaks and out-of-policy promises; added guardrails.

    ArtefactRed-team log, privacy review

  7. Gate 07

    Governance and economics

Owner, review cadence, cost per answer and time saved per week.

    ArtefactGovernance pack, business case

Your work, shown responsibly

Public, private and verified.

Most capstone projects are built on real briefs from Qquench's practice, so the full work stays private. Each learner gets a public case study cleared by the studio, and employers can see the complete work under NDA.
